Son of shepherds of Talabre community, Bernardo is
the heir of an ancestral culture. Since a boy he learned
the pasturing and muleteers secrets. Only with eight
years old, he already crossed the Andes Mountain Range,
all the way to Argentina to get animals by the exchange.
In 1996, at 20 years old, he decided that his passion
was the horses, so that he moved to San Pedro de Atacama,
where he bought his first animal. More warmer clime
that his birth place and job, San Pedro becomes in the
right place for the horses breeding. Parallely to this
activity, he learned about tourism, doing expeditions
and opening new routes through the desert and the chilean
highland with his animals, gaining his fellows respect..
