lands, taking with him the best of every place for to
give it to his passengers.
After a trip to Chile in 1993, Hilko
Meine was fascinated by the Atacama Desert and the small
town of San Pedro de Atacama, place where he met Sandra,
his future wife. Three years later he left his nurse
profession at Germany, his native country, for to come
to live at this desertic lands and to form a new home
beside his wife.
To speak four languages (german, english, spanish and
french), Hilko does not take long to find a job as tourism
guide at the famous Explora hotel. At this place did horseriding,
biking guide and half and high mountain guide for four
years. After this experience, he worked in an independent
way as tourism and high mountain guide for important international
agencies such as Wikinger, Hauser, Jehours and Exodus;
national agencies such as Travel Art, Quinbaya and Azimut.
He also have been worked as a guide for internationals
audiovisuals productions as ZDF and for exchange students
groups (DSS).
His 10 years experience as a guide extended itself over
the corners of this area because he has been in charge
of groups in other places of Chile, like Patagonia and
Lake District region . Also he has been a guide at the
bolivian high plateau.
