DEPARTURES TO
ARGENTINA
From San Pedro de Atacama the more frecuent
destiny for the tourist is Salta
city, touristic operator center for the argentinian northeast.
The trip is possible to do it by Jama
Pass or Sico Pass.
Travel description
Amazing travelling of contrast through the desert and tropical
jungles. Exist two international routes, one by Jama Pass
(560 kms.) and the other one by Sico Pass (510 kms.). Jama
Pass have more traffic, because of the good conditions of
the roads. Most of the way is asphalted. Is the principal
commercial route for Mercosur, but Sico Pass is a good alternative
when for climate reason Jama Pass is closed. Both routes are
important for tourism, where you can enjoy beautifuls altiplanic
landscapes.
