For to flatten the darkness and the travellers abyss, is precise to get use to distances, or to say goodbye to the old world, leave the order by the exotic, make yourself with the road in the long and cold night, without matter where are you from, north or south, east or west. To arrive to Uyuni is to feel more the earth and a good chance to wake up the senses on this platform rising at 3650 mts. over the sea, in the bolivian altiplanic, it will make you exhale whispers of a thin oxygen, virtual, making you feel more your steps, exceeding the mycardium rhythm.

Is the Landcruiser time, time for travel , travel through immensity, going inside through the salt flat, discovering underground water tables covered by crust of crystal, that in XXI century still allow the living of a culture that basis their existence on the salt.

This white vastness has a deep visual of thousand of kilometers that allow our vision to prolong till the end of it range, but taking beyond the thoughts to that immutable place that break up from the silence of the white landscape ornamented by the cracks.

And the vessel goes till places where the oxygen filtrate by a cutting wind that do not seem to disturbed the local camelloids, guanacos and vicuñas that are in crowds, long and wide in the whole altiplano, always keeping the distance from the man who had persecute them by milleniums looking for the wool and meat.

Uyuni village like the salt flat, irradiate own light, with a gentle, tranquility and moderated population that turns around a natural economy moved by the salt, minerals and tourism.


However, at Uyuni village exist a lot of tourism agencies, the best is to have time and money for to do private tours, without rush, that takes your priorities. Even though, the regular trips offered by the agencies are not bad, although the guides are not well knowledge. The preceding compensate with the exotic and picturesque of their treatment and the way how they intercourse with things. Generally the tours last three or four days, that include transportation, lodging and meals, leaving on your own the entrance fees to the parks and national reservation.
